White Rabbit Chocolate Stout Review

June 16, 2018 by Stu Clift in Reviews

Decadence is rarely used to describe a beer (with good reason), but this is one luxurious brew that goes down smooth as silk.

The Good: Some nice subtle chocolate flavours (the first time I tried it was with Cadbury Easter eggs - Great combo! Sorry Pana), very drinkable, not overbearingly rich, but still robust enough to feel like a real stout should.

The Bad: Honestly, maybe it needed a tiny bit more chocolate character. Just a hint more...In a sense, maybe I expected something a little more adventurous from white rabbit given some of the other beers they have on tap in their brewery.

Enjoyment: A decent stout from the makers of one of the best dark ales going around. This stout is subtle, certainly doesn't blow your head off, but still shows you some really interesting characters. I normally don't go back for a second stout in a session due to the richness, but here I reckon I could.
