What it lacks in strong flavours it more than makes up in longevity. The Tinnies Tropical XPA could be the new session beer of choice in 2019.
The Good: This is definitely an easy beer to drink, no doubt at all. It is probably on the lighter scale for a XPA, heck I would even go as far as to call it a Pale Ale or even an APA it is that light on the bitterness end. It could definitely be a very good session beer if you are looking for something that comes in a cool can (admit it looks awesome) and will definitely be noticeable in the esky when you are amongst friends.
The Bad: To put it bluntly this beer is light on flavour. I’m not trying to be disrespectful but unless you are looking for it, it is hard to pick up on the very subtle hints of citrus that are in there, just not very well amplified.
Enjoyment: By now you should be well and truly aware that at Suburban Brewing we like strong flavours and hopped up beers, it makes life more interesting and tempts those tastebuds. This beer does not do that and whilst that may sound disappointing, I can’t actually hate on it too much. It is the sort of beer that I genuinely look for, especially after a hectic gym work out. Now I know that may sound odd, but after a lifting session that fatigues my muscles to the point I would like nothing more than to just lie on the couch and watch Netflix Documentaries and Stand Up Specials, then this beer is the beer I would reach for. The taste is weak, but by the end of the first can you have a nice lingering after taste that is quite pleasant. By Can number 2 you are starting to feel the initial buzz of it hitting your lips and you start to enter a state of zen, which if you are like me and just did leg day you are splayed out on the couch by this point. It quite honestly could be a beer that becomes the ultimate sessionable beer of 2019.
