A heavyweight contender, this hefty number will KO you in the first round.
The Good: This one caught me off guard. I was expecting extreme hop aroma, but this was actually quite piney and bitter. At 3.4 standard drinks, it’s basically a whole session in a can. Quite flavorful, and plenty of malty, boozy goodness.
The Bad: This was canned back in September. Given it’s now late Feb, the local bottle o has been hangin onto this bad boy for a little too long. Not sure if it’s lost some of that hop aroma or if this just isn’t what I expected.
Enjoyment: I quite liked this pretty extreme brew, but I wish I could get a fresh one to give it a real sample. I like these guys, and I like this beer. It takes a long time to drink, but you truly only need one two max. Fury & Son make some really top notch beers, and I say go as many of them a go. I’ll be getting another one fresh from the brew house if possible. I want to enjoy this more than I do, not sure if it’s just not what I expected or if this one needs to cracked fresh.
