Never has a beer evoked such a feeling of Summer than the Kaiju Krush! It is most likely the best contender to take the mantle of "from where you would rather be" any day...
The Good: Before I commit to drinking any beer I always go in for that glorious inhale to see what I can actually smell from a beer (plus I want to improve on my reviewing capabilities) and hot damn I was not disappointed. This Tropical Pale Ale brought all of those citrus scents straight to my nostrils and tickled them with just a hint of passionfruit (heck I may have even smelt a little bit of pineapple, but that could be my mind and nose playing tricks on me). Naturally I was excited to get stuck into this beer, that first sip was like... definitely... It was GLORIOUS! The flavours you can smell dance across your tastebuds, with a bitterness that complements the flavours. It does not taste like a heavy beer what so ever (despite being 1.4 standard drinks), instead it tastes light and fresh, almost as if it was straight from the tap despite being in a can.
The Bad: Literally none.
Enjoyment: The last time I had a beer like this was when I first had a Two Birds Taco (My Favourite Beer of All Time, don't even try to talk me out of it). This beer is fresh with so many good flavours being tasted it reminds me of actual warmer days. Like I vividly remember working on my front yard for 3 days straight, digging, landscaping and shovelling endlessly, but in the midst of all that stopping and cracking a beer with Stu. We took those few moments to stop and savour a beer and really feel relaxed (albeit briefly). Even though it was mid twenties, sunny and we got sunburnt this is most definitely a beer that reminds me of good times. This is the sort of beer that you could easily do a session on and not regret one thing about it.
